The Costa Dorada enjoys a warm Mediterranean climate in which the sun and deep blue sky predominate, giving it its name, which means literally, the 'Golden Coast'.
The landscape is full of contrasts: in the south there is the Delta del Ebro Natural Park and the National Reserve of the harbors at Tortosa-Besseit; to the west lie the Montañas de Prados mountains.
The beaches are long and shallow, with clean fine sand, and the water is also clean. There are plenty of ports and yacht clubs along the coast, as well as golf courses, tennis courts and water parks.
