• Positive: What impressed me most is the great service by the front desk. The team is both helpful and courteous. The location of the hotel is right in the heart of everything.

• Cleanliness: 10 The lobby, the room and lounge area are spotlessly clean
• Location: 10 walking distance to virtually everywhere in the gothic area, harbour etc.
• Common facilities and services: 7.5 Two thumbs up for the front desk service
• Staff: 10 Most helpful and courteous. Two thumbs up.
• Quietness: 10 We didn't had any disturbance from the city below.
• Room: 10 We were given a room on the highest floor with a balcony. The room is big and comfy. From the balcony, the view is great and its nice to sit out.

• Positive: the location and friendly reception staff.
• Negative: This was not a 4* hotel. It was overpriced considering: The shabiness of the rooms, with cracks and peeling wallpaper in the bathroom. The noise from other rooms and the hallways was a constant disturbance. Whilst it was a nice gesture to have free water, this does not constitute a free mini bar. I would have rather had a full mini bar and paid for a cold beer. No coffee/tea making facilities.

• Cleanliness: 2.5 On arrival, there were still hairs in the bath. Whilst our bed was made one day, the sheets had not been changed and they were obviously dirty
• Location: 10 A brilliant base to explore the city, everything in great walking distance or near local transport, easy to find.
• Common facilities and services: 5 The lounge area was welcoming. We did not use the breakfast area so I cannot comment further
• Staff: 7.5 Reception staff were friendly
• Quietness: Not rated I could hear the TV and hairdryer from another room. Hallway was noisy with people coming and going and doors slamming and hoovering in the mornings.
• Room: 5 Decent size, awful view. Shabby bathroom in need of decoration
• Value for money: 2.5 Whilst I expect to pay 'over' when staying in a city, this was not value for money, especially when you add the taxes. Nigh on £500 for four nights, I would have expected a PROPER 4* service hotel where beds are changed daily, and the ceiling isn't cracking and you have quietness, and room service options.
