• Negative: Hotel staff not helpful, could not order room service as the person on the other end of the phone could not speak English !! So couldn't even get a cup of tea or coffee first thing in the morning. Staff didnt go out of their way when we explained that Ryanair had lost our luggage, couldn't even get any toothpaste, only one tiny shower gel and shampoo for the whole of our three day stay - hardly a four star hotel which it is rated as, more like a 2 or 3 star.

• Location: 5 Not far from Ramblas 10 minutes walk
• Common facilities and services: 5 Services not as good as could be but free use of internet
• Staff: 5 Didn't go out of their way for us
• Quietness: 5 Very noisy until double glazing closed then okay
• Room: 7.5 Better than most as very spacious but furnishings very very basic
• Value for money: 5 Wouldn't have paid any more for the service we received.

• Room: 5 la habitación estaba bien, pero faltaban algunos elemenos de las cortinas. Minibar sólo habia agua. En el Confortel Alcala Norte estaba bien servido. No se me preguntó si queria una habitación para fumadores
