Gran Hotel Benahavis SPA is the ideal place for both couples and families in search of healthy style of tourism. Following a road that runs between natural canyons, leaving the sea behind, you arrive at Benahavis: a typical Andalusian town well known as ''The Gastronomic Corner of the Costa del Sol''. Our hotel is constructed in the “cortijo” style (Andalusian farmhouse) with a total of 95 rooms, including adjoining rooms, junior suites, 6 one bedroom and 4 two bedroom suites. In addition to the listed facilities, some of the rooms have large balconies or terraces and others have their own jacuzzi's, in the complete bathroom. The hotel has two rooms suitable for the disabled and the whole third floor is assigned for non-smokers.

  • Staff: 2.5 There were a number of things that went wrong and the staff's response was always very unhelpful and rude
  • Quietness: 5 There is building work going on next to the hotel
  • Room: 7.5 The room size was good but needs some work (curtain was stained and broken, bath was dirty)
  • Value for money: 2.5 Overall the experience was bad as the water turned off for 2 days and couldn't use showers, toilets etc. It also seemed under staffed

  • Negative: Disposable plastic glasses poolside. This is a new development since last year, and given the current environmental situation is not a positive one. Whilst I understand the H&S need to have non breakable drink ware poolside - reusable plastic glasses should be used.
