  • Positif: We loved Costa Teguise! Not so much Club Los Zocos - for the reasons listed below. We will definitely come back to Costa Teguise but were bitterly disappointed with the All Inclusive option offered by Los Zocos. We ended up spending twice as much money to escape the horrors of the dining & drinks!!
  • Négatif: The apartment was very basic which would have been okay if it had not also had several basic maintenance issues which should have been dealt with prior to our arrival. (Blocked bathroom sink, no main light in bedroom, broken bedroom door handle, antique TV with poor signal and no remote control – which we paid the additional satellite charge - & curtains detached from rail) We boo0ked Los Zocos on the strength of the website which gave a very different impression of what to expect and I must admit that it was disappointing. The maintenance issues, although irritating did not affect our comfort and therefore we did not report them as we were there to relax and I really didn't want the hassle. We booked an all-inclusive holiday because we have done it before in Egypt, Mexico & the Caribbean and have always found it fantastic value for money. Unfortunately this was not the case at Los Zocos: 1. The 'restaurants' were horrible; the only atmosphere was that of a school canteen. There were no members of staff to welcome us for any meal – this would have been particularly useful on the first day to explain how the cattle market operated. The food was often quite good but was very often less than inviting. The themed nights were very half hearted and the same old slop would be put out night after night with a different name. What Italian night would have no pasta and rationed pizza???? This was unbelievable considering there was an abundance of both every other night. We got so sick of the food & lack of atmosphere that we ended up eating out during the second week. 2. The 'drinks' were appalling. The beer and wine were revolting and only slightly more palatable with a splash of 7up. As for the Aguamarina......this was dreadful!! The drinks were, again, awful. The 'cocktails' were an utter disgrace and undrinkable. My 11 year old daughter was served in a small plastic cup which was usually only half filled by bar staff that were only interested in getting you away from the bar!! The entertainment was seriously questionable. We were very excited for the Glee show as my daughter is a huge fan - it turned out to be the animation team dancing to soundtrack and mouthing the words wearing seriously dodgy 'costumes' - where was the imagination or talent in that??!! This continued with Michael Jackson etc.... Really poor. Have you ever actually tried to watch one of the 'shows'?? It is impossible to view the stage area from almost anywhere in the room due to the ridiculously placed pillars! I would also question the 'on duty' drinking antics of one member of the animation when he is supposed to be representing the Resort in the entertainment of children!! We started spending more and more evenings in other bars in town. Spending more and more money that we had not accounted for. 3. I understand that it is a family friendly resort and as we were bringing our 11 year old daughter this was an important positive for us when booking. However the reality is that it is EXCLUSIVELY a family resort and does not cater for anyone looking for a more 'mature' or relaxing stay. There is nowhere to have a nice pre-dinner drink unless you use the pool bar with plastic glasses and a closing time. There was nowhere to relax in the evening out with the hideous Aguamarina. Horrible atmosphere, screaming kids running riot, horrible drinks and dodgy entertainment. 4. The pool area was lovely although the worst sun beds I have ever experienced: the comfortable ones could not be adjusted to sitting/ lying down and the ones that could be adjusted were horribly uncomfortable. This was a shame because the pool area is definitely Club Los Zocos's greatest asset! 5. I was also disappointed at having to pay extra for satellite TV, Wi-Fi & use of the apartment safe when these are all available throughout the world free of charge! Overall it really upset me that so as not to ruin our holiday we had to spend an awful lot of unaccounted for money on eating and drinking outside the resort. We were hoping to come back to Lanzarote in February for a week before our season starts but if we did come back to Los Zocos it would definitely be on a room only basis. I would be interested in hearing your comments.

  • Relation qualité-prix: 2,5 The All Inclusive option was not good value for the reasons listed previously
