• Negative: Lack of facilities in the room eg kettle or toaster and lack of safety deposit box in room. Safety deposit box in reception facility was tiny

• Cleanliness: 10 Excellent - all aspects of the hotel/apartment were clean,smelt clean and outdoor areas were well maintained
• Location: 7.5 Excellent for the beach and a 20 minutes walk to the railway station - 5/10 minutes by taxi
• Common facilities and services: 7.5 Apartment facilities could be upgraded if travellers wanted to use as a real s/c option, eg a minimum of a kettle, toaster in the apartment would help as would an oven for a family on a budget. The restaurant service was good but portions were extremerly small. If one arrived for breakfast after 9am therer was little or no food left.
• Staff: 10 Reception staff were very courteous and helpful even though my Spanish was not very good
• Quietness: 7.5 Some traffic noise and passers -by if one stayed in Bloc C
• Room: 10 Layout was good but do need to clarify whether one will be getting twin or double bed for the adults in the party
• Value for money: 10 Couldn%27t complain at all about this aspect

• Cleanliness: 10 Rooms and grounds and surroundings all kept very clean and tidy
• Location: Not rated Vilinova is an awful place. The town has nothing of interest and night life, apart from a few restaurants in the town center, seems to be zero. There are a few restaurants within a 15 min walk from the hotel but nothing around it. The one pizza restaurant we tried along the front was next to a roundabout with traffic fumes and the smell of some rubbish bins wafted across the tables from across the road....Dont bother to try and take your car into town, there is no where to park (I drove round for an hour trying) and the police seem to hover like vultures ready to pounce on any parking misdomenour. Once I thought I had found a spot I received a 60 Euro fine for parking for leaving the car for 5 mins, despite someone being in the car at the time. That said, the beach is only just across the road from the hotel and is of the best sand you can find anywhere, and is spotless!!! So if you just want a quite beach holiday with no entertainment and to self cater this is the place for you..... Supermarket is only 5 mins drive and has its own car park, but dont try and get anything bigger than a corsa into it...
• Common facilities and services: 7.5 Swimming pool is lovely, large and a good number of sun beds around it, plus a lifeguard on duty. In the reception area, there is one pay as you go Internet PC (there is free WiFi if you take your own laptop or PSP) and one large screen TV in the reception area with a variety of international channels.... However the majority of patrons were Spanish so dont expect to watch any English TV on it for long..The only English channel in the room is BBCNews24, which repeats over and over, so if you have to spend much time in the room there is no English TV to watch. (not that it seemed to bother our kids who watch anything avidly whatever the language)..There is some entertainment during the day for younger children but nothing in the evenings like many Spanish holiday hotels have, in a way this is more like a business aparthotel. Breakfast buffet was good with a good choice of hot and cold dishes, fresh juice, fruit and breads. Nice coffee
• Staff: 10 All speak excellent English and were extreamly friendly and courtious.
• Quietness: 10 Really Really quiet
• Room: 7.5 Although there are over 100 appartments in the complex only 4 have a sea view so the pictures you see on the web are a bit misleading, we had hoped to wake every morning looking out over the beach as the advertisments lead you to believe. We had asked for a pool or sea view and had neither, had a nice view overlooking a building site at the back of the complex. Although the room says for 4 people, this actually means 2 single beds, a sofa bed and a fold out bed, These were all nice and comfy but just means you mess up the room to sleep every night
