Located 100 metres from Porta al Prato, one of the ancient gates to the formerly walled old town of Florence, the residence is just a 10 minute walk away from the historic centre. Having developed mainly in the 19th and early 20th-centuries, the district is located on the very border of the historic city centre, within easy reach of its famous squares, museums, churches and bridges over Arno River. The immediate surroundings encompass Parco delle Cascine, the largest public garden of Florence, the convention centre of Fortezza Da Basso, typical shops and a number of businesses.
