• Location: 7.5 close to passig de garcia which is the main drag for high end shops and 2 Gaudi buildings. About a 20-25 min walk to the historic district but along the way there are many shops and street vendors. If you have kids or older folks, the walk will be harder on them.

• Negative: The hotel was undergoing extreme renovation. However we were not pre-warned. Then we were subjected to over 24 hours of no water - we couldnt shower or even flush the loo. Disgraceful.

• Room: 10 Room size was small by US Standards, but bath room (Grohe Fixtures) and bedding was very modern and nice.

• Cleanliness: 10 The room was kept spotlessly clean, usually by the time we returned from breakfast
• Location: 10 Amazing location in the heart of the city but with easy access to all the most important sites. Even the beach was a short direct metro ride. The area is bustling and beautiful, with some gorgeous architecture to be admired. Pleasent to stroll in in the evenings.
• Common facilities and services: 10 Lovely spacious reception area with stylish seating and a good selection of interesting books on Barcelona. The breakfast room was quiet and bright and breakfast was well displayed.
• Staff: 10 The staff were all very friendly and smiling, all spoke English which was helpful, though they were happy for you to try out your Spanish with them! They were thoughtful, for instance staff at breakfast would remember what you liked to drink. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble.
• Quietness: 10 There was some building work going on at the time, but it did not affect the quietness of our room. The hotel did it%27s best to minimise any disturbence it caused and it did not spoil our stay at all.
• Room: 10 Very modern stylised room, good size with plenty of storage space. The bathroom was a very good size for a hotel. All in all the room felt very luxurious and certainly contributed to the enjoyment of our stay.
• Value for money: 10 I thought the money spent on the room was well worth it, in fact I thought it was excellent value, especially considering the location

• Negative: No consideration of the heavy construction noise- at least staff should excuse the noise, but none of that happened, in the contrary, they seem to blame the tourists for being too picky. This is the first hotel that should be shut down during reconstruction phase- I left immediately after the first night. A horrifying experience!!

• Staff: Not rated The most unfriendly and unwilling staff I was ever confronted with as a frequent traveller. Staff at the reception desk nervous and nearly rude to us.
• Quietness: Not rated Horrible, since there are severe reconstruction works in the making; no chance to rest at all since heavy drilling noises disturb you.
