• Negative: Bed was VERY uncomfortable. I travel to Tarragona every couple of years to visit a good friend and probably won't stay at Astari next time because of the bed. My friend may not recommend Astari to other visitors because of this.

• Positive: Overall the hotel is very good. Rooms are big, clean, silent and with nice views. Swimming pool is very nice and is surrounded by tables. Staff is helpful and polite. It's not very centrally located, but it's close enough to the main spots, besides the short walk between the hotel and the city center is breathtaking, with a view over the Mediterranean sea and the Roman amphitheater. They're renewing the building which looks even better.

• Location: 5 It's not very centrally located, but it's in a nice and quiet area, close enough to city center (walking distance). Besides, the walk between the hotel and the city center is beautiful, with a view over the Mediterranean Sea and the Roman amphitheater. It looks a safe area.

• Positive: The hotel is well located. Getting to the historic town is very convenient. One can see elegant touches in the design but the services -- especially the breakfast food -- were terrible.
• Negative: We refused the first room because it smelled bad; like something had died and was decaying. The second room was fine. The breakfast was of poor quality. The coffee was atrocious and some items were spoiled: canned peaches were fermenting and slimy, the Iberian ham was like smelly cardboard, the scrambled eggs seemed like they were re-heated from the day before.
