• Cleanliness: 10 More or l;ess spotless, especially given the number of guests and ntheir activities. Pity about the cigar smoker who had been in our corridor the evening we arrived - smell, not debris.
• Location: 10 Copuldn't be better - an easy stroll up to Santa Ana, slighter longer walks to the main art galleries and to Latina. Spoilt for choice with near-by bars and cafes.
• Common facilities and services: 7.5 SWmall but well-thought out - lobby had computer terminals which were invaluable following the Icelandic volcanic eruption and resultant travel disruption. We liked the breakfast choices - not too many to confuse us in the early part of the day but enough rewal choice.
• Staff: 10 Helpful and friendly, at recep[tion desk, in bar/cafeteria, and chambnermaids, using a combination of communication - sign language, English, Spanish.
• Quietness: 5 Very good for such a location but some murmuring from the square was audible at night.
• Room: 5 Not much space in the room for two people to be in - only one chair.
• Value for money: 10 Yes and how - general standards and location represent great value for money.
