• Positive: The friendly and very helpful staff at the front desk and especially Mikel, who proved to be exceptionally, kind, helpful and good humoured. The Carlton is lucky to have him as your "front man", in particular for English speaking guests.
• Negative: Nothing to dislike about this hotel- spacious room, great location, supportive staff and the warm greetings of the staff made this stay on our trip around Europe the best so far. The only small thing I was unhappy about was the exorbitant cost for breakfast!

• Staff: 7.5 Good overall, however, the helpfulness of one particular staff member was particularly excellent (Ricardo). He was always very approachable and warm towards guests and went above and beyond his duties to make our stay most enjoyable.

• Room: 5 We booked a double bed, however, on arrival discovered that it was just 2 single beds put together.

• Location: 10 Right on La Rambla so great location but not noisey since windows double glazed
• Common facilities and services: 10 Nice building and common areas, including PC for guests use and comfortable Lou GE area with variety of seating options.
• Staff: 10 The best! Friendly, helpful, courteous, spoke English well
• Quietness: 10 Even though right on La Rambla and with street facing room, noise not an issue
• Room: 10 Booked deluxe room, which was great! Bedroom separate from sitting area with small table and two chairs and TV, Esperanto from bathroom which had walk in shower and large jacuzzi tub
• Value for money: 10 Yes especially with great staff and comp beverages in the lounge 11AM - 9 PM or so
