• Staff: Not rated Luggage left for safekeeping was put in a room and subsequently flooded. Staff unconcerned about soaked suitcase. Request to speak with management denied because it was his day off.

• Negative: At one point lock on door broke. The hotel was responsive and sent someone up to fix it immediately, but after that only one of our new key cards worked. The door itself also got physically stuck and you had to kick it to get it open.

• Negative: A little disappointed that the balcony (actually balconies) of our lovely junior suite was french, i.e. just a ledge you couldn't stand on.

• Quietness: 7.5 Our junior suite looked down on the charming pedestrian street below, so with french balconies open it was't quiet, but with balconies closed you couldn't hear a thing! Perfect noise insulation.

• Location: 10 Could not be better. 2mins to Las Ramblas, 5 mins. to Placa Cataluna for transport and tourist buses

• Staff: 10 Friendly and cheerful, responded to my problem with air conditioning promptly
• Quietness: 10 could not hear any noise from other rooms or from outside
• Room: 7.5 1st room would be what I call functional. 2nd room spacious. None of the rooms had power sockets for electrical items apart from one in the bathroom for a shaver. Air condition in 1st room not working. Hotel changed us to another room which worked perfectly
• Value for money: 7.5
