• Positive: The magnificent convent next door. perhaps the most interesting thing I saw in Segovia.The beautiful patio - unfortunately could not be enjoyed because of pouring rain. A very nice young woman at reception, who showed the fine ceilings in the old part of the hotel and recommended the convent.
• Negative: Further out of town than I had realised - inconvenient on foot. Ugly view from the bedroom windows. Very bland American motel decor. At the price I paid, I felt corners were cut: no pillow; plastic glasses in the bathroom; inconvenient and very slippery bath/shower; an hour's wait for a portion of toast and pate in the bar in the evening; 15 people queuing for so-so coffee from a slow machine at breakfast time. The staff - with one exception - too busy or not inclined to offer the normal politenesses.

• Positive: Hotel situado en un antiguo monasterio; la decoración me gusto porque no se puede definir ni como clásica ni como moderna, intenta darle un toque de viejo pero con materiales modernos. La habitación espectacular, con dosel, ( algo que siempre me ha gustado tener en un monasterio), daba al patio, que es precioso tranquilo a pesar que nuestra habitación estaba encima de la cafetería, no se oía un ruido, limpísimo, cuarto de baño enorme, personal superamable en general.... la comida en el restaurante muy buena. Hay menús por 25 euros q están muy bien. El cochinillo exquisito, no tiene nada q envidiar a los que sirven en restaurantes de renombre de Segovia. ! vamos q nos hemos quedado encantadísimos¡ Ha sido el hotel ideal para celebrar nuestro aniversario de bodas, 20 años casados ( yo las llamo cariñosamente nuestras bodas de hojalata), ya que cuando nos casamos nuestro primer destino fue Segovia. Se me olvidaba el desayuno estaba incluido en el precio de la habitación y el hotel tiene parking gratuito para los clientes. !Todo perfecto¡ A parte de hablar del hotel , me gustaría comentar que el monasterio de San ANTONIO DEL REAL , donde viven las monjas clarisas es digno de visitar, es un joya mudéjar desconocida pero que hay que ver, se entra por una puerta detrás del hotel; lo enseña una guía estupenda que se le iluminan los ojos, como una niña cuando habla de su convento y sus monjitas. Es una visita muy amena y merece la pena. Hay joyas y está todo reluciente y cuando terminó la visita me dijo que en el hotel había un artesonado precioso que teníamos q ver. Por supuesto por la noche una recepcionista muy amable nos los enseñó: ¡UNA PRECIOSIDAD! Muchas gracias.

• Negative: The pillows. I know this is a Spanish Hotel and these are Spanish pillows, but with an International clientele, there should be a choice of pillows. They were so uncomfortable and I did not have a good nights sleep
