• Cleanliness: 7.5 Aside from the stained hall carpeting which detracts from the overall impression, it seems clean. My room certainly was, and the bathroom gleamed.
• Location: 7.5 It's an easy walk to the charms of Montmartre and to shopping at Galleries Lafayette. Probably more too. Plus, there were good little eateries quite nearby.
• Common facilities and services: 5 They must have the smallest elevator in the world--very cramped even for one slim person with luggage. But the lobby is nicely decorated, there's wi-fi, and in nice weather the garden is a relief from the urban ambience.
• Staff: 5 Mixed reviews here: the maids/breakfast ladies had a kindly presence, and a problem I had in the room was addressed swiftly. Front desk seemed a bit sour to me.
• Quietness: 5 So much depends on your neighbours--whether they have heavy footsteps, dogs, or loud voices. But get a room on the courtyard and at least you won't get street noise.
• Room: 5 The room was small, but had the necessities, coherent decor, and the bed was comfortable.
• Value for money: 7.5 For the price, it's quite a fair deal and I wouldn't complain.

• Positive: the hotel is very well situated in a safe neighbourhood with close access to 2 subway stations and walking distance to the Opera and Montmatre and also the 'downtown' area (Louvre, Notre Dame, Champs Elysees, Concorde, Bastille,Pompidou Centre, Les Halles, Les Invalides, etc...). The hotel itself is very clean, no frills, great breakfasts by the garden, polite and helpful staff. It is an ideal location for a person interested in visiting the real Paris (walking all over) and returning to the hotel for a shower-bath and peaceful sleep. Highly recommended.
• Negative: There is nothing to dislike once you understand this is a no-frills environment, a bit quirky in its decor (global village and multi-mirrors), and just like so many hotels in Paris with rooms that are a bit small
