• Positive: The location and the view. The lovely big covered balconies with solid furnitures including a couch. The pool and beach areas. The architecture of finest hardwood, the atmosphere and elegance. It%27s own beach. PS: It is very different to most other hotels in Spain - didn%27t have a Spanish look nor feeling, which by some may be considered wrong - but we felt more, that we were staying in a resort hotel of the kind you find in i.e. the Indian or Pacific Oceans (reminded us a bit of deluxe The Residence in Mauritius) or Far East, which means, this is quality and elegance!
• Negative: We didn%27t have any dislikes as such. Did only miss a more informal and less expensive "feet-in-sand" beach service, some light entertainment each night. We do hope likewise, that in the near future the rather bad beach path to the city centre/yacht harbor will be turned into a lovely Promenade. Would be a great asset to the hotel!

• Location: 7.5 Within easy walking distance along THE BEACH (in part sand) to the yachtharbor, trendy shops and restaurants. (Very complicated by car though...). Having very own beach and fantastic view of the ocean from many rooms. Perfect for combi beach holiday!
• Common facilities and services: 7.5 Lacking a better beach-service and/or a more relaxed and less expensive "feet in sand" restaurant offering homemade fresh salads, delicious sandwiches, ices etc. Would have expected that of a 5-star property. The beach-restaurants seem too formal to me. + Really missed a PIANO-BAR or some light entertainment in the evenings. Had to walk to the yacht harbor to find that each evening.
• Staff: 7.5 In general. The guest relation girl we talked to did, however, not live up to expectations when we requested info on how to get to the town without a car. Had no maps available etc. Otherwise in general a nice staff - and apparently plentyful.
• Quietness: 5
• Room: 5 The superior double we had was lovely in many ways, but too narrow, hence very difficult to get around and to place suitcases in. The beautiful very large covered balcony did however in general make up for this - especially in summer months. We had a beautiful direct of view of the ocean from 3rd floor as requested, so we were very satisfied. Did, however, note that quite a large number of rooms are located with views directly to other rooms, neighboring buildings, so are a bit concerned if the promised full seaview will be able to meet from all superior rooms? First floor are directly out to the pool area and you have people looking right into the room... wouldn%27t have enjoyed that. But we cannot complain - we received what we requested for. 3rd floor mid is perfect! PS: American tourists would, however, immediately complain about the size of the main room as well as bathroom, the latter being lovely with all amemnities needed but yet again a bit tiny. OBS: The door-stop in the bathroom is dangerously placed, as you step right out on it from the bathtub! Ought to be removed or warned about.

• Cleanliness: 5 There were black ants on the floor in the bedroom. Everywhere else was clean.
• Location: 7.5 Good for the coast and for getting to Gibraltar, a bit of a trek to places like Seville.

• Staff: 7.5 Bar staff werer especially courteous. Had a problem when we arrived as room was too small and woman on reception was snappy and awful.
• Quietness: 5 Ok, until the stags and hens turned up, then not so good.
• Room: Not rated We booked a superior room and asked for an extra bed. The bed did not fit in the room. The room attendant tried to leave the bed in the room but we had to climb over it to get to the balcony. We ended up having to have a junior suite at sixty euros per night compulsory upgrade, just to fit the extra fold away bed in, the rooms are much much too small. However the junior suite is nearly twice the size for sixty euros extra so if you can afford it and you want to stay here, I would just get a suite and not bother with any of the other rooms.
• Value for money: 5 I don%27t think we should have had to pay for an upgrade, but once we were in it, it did feel like quite good value.
