• Positive: The location was perfect a tourist visiting Barcelona. With a metro station right around the corner we were able to access all the locations we wished to visit. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the bed was very comfortable. Free internet access in the lobby
• Negative: Our room faced onto the side street, which was noisy with vehicle traffic (motor bikes) several nights. Breakfast at the hotel was not included in our rate and was very expensive based on what we saw being served every morning. Some individuals that manned the front desk were not as friendly and patient as they could have been. There is an additional taxi cost charged in Barcelona for weekends and after midnight, so our fare from the hotel to the airport to catch an early Sunday morning flight home was more costly by about 10 euros, than what we were charged from the airport to the hotel during prime weekday business hours. Ridiculous!

• Staff: 5 Not all the front desk staff were as service oriented, courteous and helpful as they might have been. Information about good restaurants was not particularly helpful.

• Room: 5 We booked 8 weeks in advacne and requested a room with a view but on arrival were told non was available.
• Value for money: 2.5 Barcelona was in general the most costly city we visited in our trip to Portugal and Spain.
